  Acuna!

Hey guys I'm writing today because our pday got switched to Wednesday for just this week!  We had zone conf this week and we went up to Acuña!  Its about three hours north of Zaragoza.  It was kinda cool to be in a city instead of a little tiny farm town for a couple days!

We got to Acuña on Saturday, and that night we had the first night of district conf and President Cahoon and one of his counselors spoke and they were both amazing talks.  We stayed at the zone leaders house each night and it was a party.  little hard to sleep at night though, my comp sleep preaches every night all night and the assistant sleep yells hhaha it was super sick though.  5 Elders in such a little house haha it was so fun.

On Sunday we had the second day of conference and that went super good.  Pres Cahoon spoke again, it was super good to hear his council four days in a row.  He truly is a man of God and is constantly receiving revaluation for the mission, after I went on splits with Elder Bautista one of my zone leaders, and I learned a lot from him.

On Monday we had our first day of zone conf and we had interviews with president, watched coco, and played volleyball.  It was super cool to watch coco, we watched it in Spanish, then i got to watch it in English after with a couple other elders because we were in our interviews for some parts of the movie.  It was super cool to watch a movie that was based on mexican culture.  Then I went on splits with Elder porter from cali, we were in the mtc together so that was super fun, we also slept in the same bed three nights in a row haha.  6 elders three beds haha.

Tuesday we had the second day of zone conference, and it was superrr good.  One thing that really stuck out to me,  President Cahoon taught a little parable and i want to share it with you guys.  When he was a kid, his vision started to get really bad, to the point that glasses weren't enough to help his sight.  The only option was contacts, back then they were the hard ones that were really small.  One day he was playing football and one of his contacts fell out.  He searched all over but he couldn't find it anywhere.  He prayed with all his heart to be able to find it.  He was so scared because of how expensive they were and what his parents would think.  He knew that God knew where his contact was, and he knew God could show him where it was.  He searched each day long and hard after school, and a couple days later he found it.  He was a kid and he lost that little contact time after time, but he found it every time with the help of God.  He related that to how we can find the people who are ready to hear the gospel.  They are out there, and God knows where they are, we just have to trust him that he will show us the way.  Everyone is our brother or sister and they all need this gospel in their lives, so start looking for that little contact!!   Have a great week guys!  love you all.
Love to hear from you. conner.atkin@myldsmail.net

The best week of my mission!!!!!!! Hello everyone!  I was super super nervous for this week, but it turned out being one of my favorite weeks in the mission so far!!  So my old companion Elder Lorenzo was made zone leader here in Neuva Rosita, it was sad to see him go but ill still talk to I'm all the time because he is my zone leader!!  My new comp is elder Diaz and he is from Argentina!!  He has four months in the mission, so we are both super new, but we are killing it!  This has forced me to learn my area really fast, and I realized I know my area a lot better than I thought.    This week I have realized, that my English is starting to go downhill haha!  Sometimes I forget how to say something. Or I don't know how to use the correct grammar!  Kinda crazy haha.  Now I don't know English or Spanish! sometimes ill be talking to another American missionary and I will start talking in Spanish without realizing it!...

UNA SEMANA MAS TERMINADA (Another week down) Hola everyone!! Everything is going well here in Sabinas!  We are working super hard and having success each day!  We got two more baptism dates!  Their names are Jose and Rufina!  I have a strong testimony that the lord truely does prepare people for us to teach. Things are also going really well with Gerardo, he is the one I'm teaching in English.  He can speak English because he used to be a drug dealer, (narco) and he drove back and forth from Mexico and the united states transporting drugs.  He truly has repented and he has such a strong testimony.  When I first started teaching him he reminded me of Joseph Smith.  He said, all these churches claim they have the truth but they all teach different things.  I explained that Joseph Smith had the exact same question, and I taught him about the restoration and Book of Mormon in English!  He is the only person I have met he...
