FAST WEEK!!! Que onda?  This week went by sooo fast and I'm sitting here trying to remember what happened, literally went by in the blink of an eye.  I also wanna wish you guys a merry Christmas!! I am so grateful for all of you and all the support.  I'm so grateful to have such amazing family and friends.  Also on Thursday we got three baptism dates! Pray that they will go through!  On Tuesday we had intercambios, that is where you work with a different missionary for the day, we switch companionship's and we sleep at their house for the night!  Its always fun to have a lil sleepover and work with someone else for the day.  I worked with Elder Turner!  He is my brother in the mission, which means he has the same time in the mission as me, and we were in the mtc together.  We are both super new so we didn't understand everything people were saying to us, but we got a couple new investigators!  its so cool how much the spirit can help us when we
First Baptism.  And it SNOWED!  So this week was probably my favorite week in the mission so far!  Tons of sick things happened.  So yeah it snowed and that was crazy!  It actually felt like Christmas for one day haha.  I also had my first baptism on Thursday !!  Her name is Rufina and she is amazing.  We are also baptizing her husband this sat !  I was practicing her name all day on Thursday cause Latino names are super long.  As soon as I step into the font I forget her name haha.  I dont know how that was possible cause I practiced it at least 200 times.  I was just standing there with my arm in the square, and it just came to me.  little tiny miracle right there haha.  When she came up out of the water, she said she felt amazing.  It is soooooo amazing to be able to be an instrument in the lords hands to bring salvation to other souls.  It is one of the happiest feelings, if not the happiest.   On tuesday I got to work with elder Lorenzo and elder Diaz! my m
Finding more people to teach!!!! Hola everyone!!  Not a ton happened this week but we worked super hard and found some awesome people!!  My Spanish has gotten a ton better lately.  I'm starting to be able to understand people a lot better, and when i'm walking down the street im starting to be able to understand the music that people play in the streets so that's kinda cool!!  We have two baptisms this week, rufina and jose are finally getting baptized!!  They are super super prepared.  Jose is gonna be the next prophet, I think he knows more than I do lol.   This week we had a lot of cool experiences by being led by the spirit.  This week we contacted a lot in the richer parts of town, usually we don't have any success with the big houses, but this week we had a ton of success in the richer parts.  Usually they are aren't as humble, and they don't wanna listen, but not this week.  Id say at least half of our new investigators this week live
The best week of my mission!!!!!!! Hello everyone!  I was super super nervous for this week, but it turned out being one of my favorite weeks in the mission so far!!  So my old companion Elder Lorenzo was made zone leader here in Neuva Rosita, it was sad to see him go but ill still talk to I'm all the time because he is my zone leader!!  My new comp is elder Diaz and he is from Argentina!!  He has four months in the mission, so we are both super new, but we are killing it!  This has forced me to learn my area really fast, and I realized I know my area a lot better than I thought.    This week I have realized, that my English is starting to go downhill haha!  Sometimes I forget how to say something. Or I don't know how to use the correct grammar!  Kinda crazy haha.  Now I don't know English or Spanish! sometimes ill be talking to another American missionary and I will start talking in Spanish without realizing it!    This week we have 2 baptisms!! The
Changes are happening in Sabinas! Hola hola everyone.  Super good week this week.  Lots of good things happening but also a lot of things changing!!  My companion was made zone leader, so he is moving up to Nueva Rosita, about 40 mins away.  I'm getting a new trainer, but he only has 6 more weeks than me in the mission!  Two newbies together haha.  Bien interesante no?  I'm super nervous.  I don't know our area super well so that will also be hard.  I will pretty much be training him for the first little bit haha.  We have four baptisms coming up in December so that is super exciting!   On Tuesday I went on splits with my boy Elder Oldham, he was in the mtc with me, so we were two gringos who didn't know Spanish walking around in Mexico jaja.  We found four new investigators though!  I'm starting to forget some words in English, so by the time I come home I'm not gonna know English jaja.   I have been teaching a lot more during our less
Carry the spirit with you at all times! Hola hola everyone!  Super good week this week.  Gonna keep this email a little shorter cause I dont have a ton of time!  I'll just tell you guys all the important stuff! We have two baptisms  this Saturday !! I'm gonna be baptizing them!  Their names are Lisandro and Salvador.  Lisandro is 9, and Salvador is 13.  Lisandro reminds me of Scotty haha.  Lisandro is not quite as energetic but they have a similar personality.  They have a big family so hopefully we can get the rest of them baptized soon as well!  Oh and pray for me cause they have like 4 names and their full names take like 10 seconds to say, and I'm performing the baptisms haha.   Rufina and Jose are doing awesome!  We have a date set with them for the first Saturday of December!  Jose can barely walk, and he cant move the left side of his body very well, we gave him a blessing about two weeks ago, and is health is improving so fast!  Jesus Christ is the do
UNA SEMANA MAS TERMINADA (Another week down) Hola everyone!! Everything is going well here in Sabinas!  We are working super hard and having success each day!  We got two more baptism dates!  Their names are Jose and Rufina!  I have a strong testimony that the lord truely does prepare people for us to teach. Things are also going really well with Gerardo, he is the one I'm teaching in English.  He can speak English because he used to be a drug dealer, (narco) and he drove back and forth from Mexico and the united states transporting drugs.  He truly has repented and he has such a strong testimony.  When I first started teaching him he reminded me of Joseph Smith.  He said, all these churches claim they have the truth but they all teach different things.  I explained that Joseph Smith had the exact same question, and I taught him about the restoration and Book of Mormon in English!  He is the only person I have met here that speaks English, and I don't think
BREAKING MYSELF IN!!! One more week down!  I know I say this every week but I don't understand how it's already P day again haha.  This week was super good!  Its starting to get pretty cold here in Coahuila!  Pretty sure it gets as cold as Utah but the only difference is that it doesn't snow haha.  Our houses don't have heat so I'm gonna be sleeping in my coat lol.     This week we worked our tails off!   We got 20 new contacts and a lot of them have a lot of potential.  We have four baptisms lined up for the next couple of weeks!!   This week we did a lot of the same stuff each day, we leave the house around 11 or so (only during training), we go to our appts, lunch is at 2, and whenever we aren't teaching at an appt we are contacting and looking for new people.  We walk sooooo much.  My feet kill ha.  We met some awesome people this week who are super prepared!!  We were walking down the street and we met someone who speaks English!!
Week 2 in the field!!     Hola everyone!! Sorry i didn't write last week!  These last two weeks have been the best, and most exhausting weeks of my life.  Sorry for my grammar, this keyboard is terrible.  I cant believe Its already another pday.  I'm convinced time doesn't exist in the mission.  If time keeps on going this fast, my time to come home is gonna be tomorrow lol.          I just gotta say that Mexico is completely different than the states, but I love it.  Being here has been so humbling, and has really made me truly grateful for how good of a life I had back at home, and how good it is now too.  I am gonna be taking a cold shower for the next two years, yikes.  The only way to get warm water is to buy gas and connect it to your house, and Its super expensive so Idk if we are dong that.    Yesterday and today I killed about 25 spiders.  I felt like changing things up a bit, so while I was ironing my pants I burnt one with the iron lol.
MADE IT TO SALTILLO!!!!!!!  Hola familia!!  I made it to Saltillo and its my turn to email now!! We got here around 9 and got to the the presidents house around 10 or so.  Maybe a little later.  They picked us up from the airport!  I sat in the back of the mini van on the way to the house haha!  We got here and talked to president for a little but, then we had breakfast!  We had kneaders style french toast and it was so good!  President told us a lot about the mission and expectation and commandments we have in the mission.  We are expected to two baptisms a month! crazy.  Then after breakfast we got to sleep for a while and that was really nice.  The bed was super comfy.  Their house is sooo nice.  Is the mission home gonna be this nice too?  we just got done eating lunch like 30 mins ago or so.  We all introduced ourselves and went around the table talking about ourself, so Pres and Sister Cahoon could get to know us.  The AP's also came over and they are hang
Last week in the MTC!! Can't believe it's already another p day.  Time is going so fast, its crazy.  It feels like I've been in the MTC for 5 months but it also feels like its only been a week.   Not a ton happened this week so I will keep this email pretty short, and I don´t have much time because we are going to the temple today!!  I will have a better email next week cause ill be in Saltillo baby!!! First off, conference was AMAZING.  Conference in the mission is one of the best things ever.  Not only is it a break from classes all day, but we get to hear from the General Authorities.  I have never payed such close attention during conference before, and I learned so much.  It felt like all the talks were written just for me.    Thank you for all the birthday wishes! You guys are  the best!  It's always fun having conference on my birthday.  My district sang happy birthday to me 19 times throughout the day.  I'm pretty sure everyone is
