quick lil update August 13th, 2018 This week went pretty good!  Elder Shaner goes home on Friday!  Hes been a great comp and he has been working so hard until the last second of his mission.  Last week we met someone named luis and hes 26.  We were walking home last Friday and I saw that he was crying before we walked up the stairs to go to our house.  We talked to him, and tried our best to comfort him.  Both his parents passed away and his wife wants a divorce.  We gave him a book of Mormon and talked a little bit about it and asked if we could pass by his house.  We passed by a couple days later and taught the plan of salvation and it went well, the next day we taught him about the gospel of Jesus Christ and invited him to baptism, and he will be getting baptized this week or next week!  Really shows how we need to talk to everyone cause we don't know what can come of it!  We spent most of the week working with him and getting him ready for baptism, even though he could

Another Week Down!!! July 23rd, 2018 This week was pretty good!  We knocked a lot of doors trying to find more people to teach.  It felt like a long week but also went by really fast.  This week luis frenando got baptized, we found him in the trio, and elder hannig got to stay and i went to the other side.  President said it should count in my heart though!  That's what matters!  We have been working super hard and we are being super obedient.  I have been doing workouts every morning. I have my own little workout plan calendar jaja.     On Friday morning we received a text from a number that we didn't have, who wanted to meet with us. He said he got our number from a friend. We had planned to contact people in the plaza that morning, so we told him he could see us there. He came, and had many questions for us. About what we do, why were are here, and what he can do to start his journey to becoming closer to God. We asked him if he wanted to tour the church, and he
Laura and shunashi, and Elder Bednar!! July 16th, 2018 Another week down and it was a good one!  Laura and Suanshi were baptized this week!  Laura is married to Abelardo who had been inactive for about 10 years!  The way we found them was such a miracle.  We did exchanges with one of the members, and before we met back up with him and my comp, he had a feeling to talk to one more person, and they didn't want anything!  But as they were talking to them, a family walked by, and the member (max) really felt like he needed to talk to them.  So after my companions and I went home, max went and talked to this random family he had never seen before, and just keep in mind this guy isn't a missionary anymore. He got talking with them, got to know them and their situation, set up a family home evening with them in his own house, and invited us to go.  They came to the family home evening, we talked about the plan of salvation, they came to church the next day, and the rest is hist
First pedicure! jaja   Hey guys the past couple weeks have been pretty crazy!  I will try and get it all in this little email ha!  Laura and Sunashi are gonna get baptized this week!  Laura is the wife of a member that had been inactive for 10 years, and Sunashi is their daughter, such a miracle!  A member found them for us after we went on exchanges with him, he had the feeling to talk to a family on the street and it ended up being them!!       Frenando will also be getting baptized next sat!  He is part of a family of 7 that we were teaching, we had been teaching them all for a while, and he always just stood out.  He understood everything, and learned so fast, and from the start I could just see a difference in him.  The rest of his family decided they weren't interested and he comes to church every week by himself, he is only 14 years old but such a great example to his family.  I pray that they will follow his example!     I finally got my ingrown toe nail taken c

Miracles upon Miracles May 21st, 2018 Hola everyone  i hope you all had a good week!!  Things are going good here in ramos!!  We have thought of new ways to work and things are really starting to come together.  We have seen so many miracles this week.  We found so many awesome  people who have already been prepared.      Miracle 1.  We were teaching a family, but the mom couldn't get baptized because she isn't married to her boyfriend and they were living together, and he isn't divorced and it was gonna be a really long process.  What made it harder was that he wasn't on the same page as her. Last week we fasted with her, so the situation could work out so she could get baptized, and so  she could know the will of the lord, weather she should leave him, or try and get married to him, cause she didn't know what to do.  We fasted, and she talked to her boyfriend, to let him know she wanted to get baptized, but that she couldn

Miracles This week was a good one!  So many good things have happened this week and I'm not gonna be able to talk about all of it!  We have a baptism this sat and we are getting super excited for that!  We are now allowed to play soccer so that made me supperrr happy when i heard that.  Now i can start meggin kids in the street again;)  Then we ask if we can teach their families and they take us to their house its the best haha.      This week we have zone conf and me and my comp get to give a presentation on setting baptism dates yaay! haha its gonna be a good learning experience.      There were three really awesome miracles that happened this week and I want to share one of them with you guys.       Yesterday Elder Leija and I started a fast, for our investigators, and so that we could find new people to teach.  We worked hard all day and by the end of the day we were beat. Seriously had never been that tired in my mission. We decided to look for one more before
LITTLE MEANS GREAT THINGS April 16th 2018 Hey guys super awesome week this week!  I hope you are all doing well! Its starting to get superrr hot here, and its just gonna keep on getting hotter!  There is something here called the canicula and its the time of year when its over 110 degrees everyday for like 3 months!  My parents sent me a projector! Its super super small, about the size of an iphone.  We are gonna use it for lessons and family nights with investigators and members.  Gonna be super sick!  We are having a noche de rama (family night but as a branch) and we are gonna watch coco! then we are gonna talk about the plan of salvation after!    Not a ton happened this week, the zone leaders came down on Tuesday, its always fun to work with them and change things up a little.  Up until Saturday we were just contacting and contacting with a few appts in between.  On sat one of our old investigators called us up that we hadn't seen in a really long time.  This man co
Happy Easter!  April 2nd 2018 I hope you all had a great conference and Easter weekend!  Its always such an amazing opportunity to listen to the words of a living prophet.  I encourage you all to continue studying these talks over the next six months until the next conference, because these talks are literally the words of the lord. Was here, he would have told us the things we heard this weekend.      I haven't written in a couple weeks so ill update you guys a little bit about whats been going on!  We had changes last week, and Elder Leija and I are still together!  I also got called as a district leader!  Its gonna be a great opportunity to serve the other elders.       We have some awesome investigators, first we have José and Elisa.   What really caught their attention is how we talk about how families can be together forever.  We had a lesson with them in the church on Friday then they came to conference with us on Sunday!  It was amazing to have them there, wa
