FAST WEEK!!!

Que onda?  This week went by sooo fast and I'm sitting here trying to remember what happened, literally went by in the blink of an eye.  I also wanna wish you guys a merry Christmas!! I am so grateful for all of you and all the support.  I'm so grateful to have such amazing family and friends.  Also on Thursday we got three baptism dates! Pray that they will go through!

On Tuesday we had intercambios, that is where you work with a different missionary for the day, we switch companionship's and we sleep at their house for the night!  Its always fun to have a lil sleepover and work with someone else for the day.  I worked with Elder Turner!  He is my brother in the mission, which means he has the same time in the mission as me, and we were in the mtc together.  We are both super new so we didn't understand everything people were saying to us, but we got a couple new investigators!  its so cool how much the spirit can help us when we have faith.

For the rest of the week we just worked like crazy.  We have a commandment in the mission to find 16 new investigators each week, as well as baptize one soul each month, and it isn't easy, we have to work like crazy but its so worth it.  Yesterday I could barely feel my legs, but i'm loving every day.  I feel so close to the lord and its such an amazing feeling.  Sometimes I wonder how I still feel happy, I miss my family, I barely know any Spanish, my house is a hole, I can hardly communicate, I walk so much its insane, but Ive never been happier and its because i'm in the service of the lord.  If any of you don't know if you wanna serve a mission, or your on the fence, i'm telling you do it, its hard but its the best decision Ive ever made!!

We bought a little Christmas tree this week!  Its like a foot and a half tall and I put my Christmas presents under it lol.  Good times.  We play our Christmas music at night before bed and the Christmas spirit is there haha.  This week I get to talk to the fam and I'm so excited!! We are having Christmas with the Sanchez family and they are amazing.  Mexicans are so funny jajaja, especially this family.

During this time of year, don't forget to remember our savior.  He is the reason for this time of year.  Keep Christ in your thoughts.  Christmas is my favorite time of the year, its a little hard being away from home, but I know how worth it this is.  Don't take your family for granted during this time.  Spend as much time as you can with them, and remember that the greatest gift of all, is that we get to have eternal life, and live with our families forever, because of Jesus Christ.  The parties, the gifts, the lights, the music, are all awesome, but remember Him.  I love you guys and I hope you all have an amazing Christmas this year.  Love to hear from you all!  conner.atkin@myldsmail.net

Conner on splits with a missionary in his zone.  They were invited over to dinner by a great family in their ward.  Grateful for members taking care of our boy.

Carry the spirit with you at all times! Hola hola everyone!  Super good week this week.  Gonna keep this email a little shorter cause I dont have a ton of time!  I'll just tell you guys all the important stuff! We have two baptisms  this Saturday !! I'm gonna be baptizing them!  Their names are Lisandro and Salvador.  Lisandro is 9, and Salvador is 13.  Lisandro reminds me of Scotty haha.  Lisandro is not quite as energetic but they have a similar personality.  They have a big family so hopefully we can get the rest of them baptized soon as well!  Oh and pray for me cause they have like 4 names and their full names take like 10 seconds to say, and I'm performing the baptisms haha.   Rufina and Jose are doing awesome!  We have a date set with them for the first Saturday of December!  Jose can barely walk, and he cant move the left side of his body very well, we gave him a blessing about two weeks ago, an...
The best week of my mission!!!!!!! Hello everyone!  I was super super nervous for this week, but it turned out being one of my favorite weeks in the mission so far!!  So my old companion Elder Lorenzo was made zone leader here in Neuva Rosita, it was sad to see him go but ill still talk to I'm all the time because he is my zone leader!!  My new comp is elder Diaz and he is from Argentina!!  He has four months in the mission, so we are both super new, but we are killing it!  This has forced me to learn my area really fast, and I realized I know my area a lot better than I thought.    This week I have realized, that my English is starting to go downhill haha!  Sometimes I forget how to say something. Or I don't know how to use the correct grammar!  Kinda crazy haha.  Now I don't know English or Spanish! sometimes ill be talking to another American missionary and I will start talking in Spanish without realizing it!...
UNA SEMANA MAS TERMINADA (Another week down) Hola everyone!! Everything is going well here in Sabinas!  We are working super hard and having success each day!  We got two more baptism dates!  Their names are Jose and Rufina!  I have a strong testimony that the lord truely does prepare people for us to teach. Things are also going really well with Gerardo, he is the one I'm teaching in English.  He can speak English because he used to be a drug dealer, (narco) and he drove back and forth from Mexico and the united states transporting drugs.  He truly has repented and he has such a strong testimony.  When I first started teaching him he reminded me of Joseph Smith.  He said, all these churches claim they have the truth but they all teach different things.  I explained that Joseph Smith had the exact same question, and I taught him about the restoration and Book of Mormon in English!  He is the only person I have met he...
