Miracles upon Miracles
May 21st, 2018

Hola everyone  i hope you all had a good week!!  Things are going good here in ramos!!  We have thought of new ways to work and things are really starting to come together.  We have seen so many miracles this week.  We found so many awesome  people who have already been prepared.

Miracle 1.  We were teaching a family, but the mom couldn't get baptized because she isn't married to her boyfriend and they were living together, and he isn't divorced and it was gonna be a really long process.  What made it harder was that he wasn't on the same page as her. Last week we fasted with her, so the situation could work out so she could get baptized, and so  she could know the will of the lord, weather she should leave him, or try and get married to him, cause she didn't know what to do.  We fasted, and she talked to her boyfriend, to let him know she wanted to get baptized, but that she couldn't because they aren't married.  He then left for a couple days, then came back, then left again for good.  It was really really hard to see her go through that, she was really sad, but now she can get baptized, and she can find someone she can go to the temple with.  Its hard for her right now but its gonna be so worth it in the end.  She is so strong and has so much faith.

Miracle 2.  We were contacting and found two girls who just moved here, and they were going to church where they lived, and they loved it and want to start coming again.  They never got baptized and we are now teaching them again!  They remember pretty much everything that the elders taught them from where they used to live so that was pretty awesome!

Miracle 3.  We have been praying for inspiration to find a new way to work more effectively, and we found it, and it has been working sooo good.  One thing we have been doing is when we get done eating with the members, we ask them who we could visit in the area that they know, who haven't been coming to church, and we found 4 potential baptisms in one day from referrals!

The mission is so hard but so fun and so rewarding!  All the crappy things we go through is so worth is when we save a soul!  Washing our clothes by hand, showering with buckets, killing giant cockroaches, being so hot you feel like you're in a sauna 24 7, being away from family and friends, is sooo worth it.  I've never done something so fun and rewarding in my life.  I love you all!  Have a great week!  (If you made it this far and still read my emails i want you to know I love and appreciate you haha!!)

Carry the spirit with you at all times! Hola hola everyone!  Super good week this week.  Gonna keep this email a little shorter cause I dont have a ton of time!  I'll just tell you guys all the important stuff! We have two baptisms  this Saturday !! I'm gonna be baptizing them!  Their names are Lisandro and Salvador.  Lisandro is 9, and Salvador is 13.  Lisandro reminds me of Scotty haha.  Lisandro is not quite as energetic but they have a similar personality.  They have a big family so hopefully we can get the rest of them baptized soon as well!  Oh and pray for me cause they have like 4 names and their full names take like 10 seconds to say, and I'm performing the baptisms haha.   Rufina and Jose are doing awesome!  We have a date set with them for the first Saturday of December!  Jose can barely walk, and he cant move the left side of his body very well, we gave him a blessing about two weeks ago, an...
The best week of my mission!!!!!!! Hello everyone!  I was super super nervous for this week, but it turned out being one of my favorite weeks in the mission so far!!  So my old companion Elder Lorenzo was made zone leader here in Neuva Rosita, it was sad to see him go but ill still talk to I'm all the time because he is my zone leader!!  My new comp is elder Diaz and he is from Argentina!!  He has four months in the mission, so we are both super new, but we are killing it!  This has forced me to learn my area really fast, and I realized I know my area a lot better than I thought.    This week I have realized, that my English is starting to go downhill haha!  Sometimes I forget how to say something. Or I don't know how to use the correct grammar!  Kinda crazy haha.  Now I don't know English or Spanish! sometimes ill be talking to another American missionary and I will start talking in Spanish without realizing it!...
UNA SEMANA MAS TERMINADA (Another week down) Hola everyone!! Everything is going well here in Sabinas!  We are working super hard and having success each day!  We got two more baptism dates!  Their names are Jose and Rufina!  I have a strong testimony that the lord truely does prepare people for us to teach. Things are also going really well with Gerardo, he is the one I'm teaching in English.  He can speak English because he used to be a drug dealer, (narco) and he drove back and forth from Mexico and the united states transporting drugs.  He truly has repented and he has such a strong testimony.  When I first started teaching him he reminded me of Joseph Smith.  He said, all these churches claim they have the truth but they all teach different things.  I explained that Joseph Smith had the exact same question, and I taught him about the restoration and Book of Mormon in English!  He is the only person I have met he...
