quick lil update

August 13th, 2018

This week went pretty good!  Elder Shaner goes home on Friday!  Hes been a great comp and he has been working so hard until the last second of his mission.  Last week we met someone named luis and hes 26.  We were walking home last Friday and I saw that he was crying before we walked up the stairs to go to our house.  We talked to him, and tried our best to comfort him.  Both his parents passed away and his wife wants a divorce.  We gave him a book of Mormon and talked a little bit about it and asked if we could pass by his house.  We passed by a couple days later and taught the plan of salvation and it went well, the next day we taught him about the gospel of Jesus Christ and invited him to baptism, and he will be getting baptized this week or next week!  Really shows how we need to talk to everyone cause we don't know what can come of it!  We spent most of the week working with him and getting him ready for baptism, even though he couldn't be baptized this week he is still happy and excited to be.  In church we had 4 investigators!  we are working with a family of 5 right now that are looking pretty promising.  They come to church by themselves!  It was a great week!  This week will be even better.  Love you guys so much!!! have an amazing week!  Shout out to kali for going to college.  Shout out to Sophie for starting middle school.  Shout out to Scotty for being Scotty.  Love you!
